essential tools for home woodworking

hey guys! welcome to hilah cooking breakthroughnew cooking show brought to you by me, hilah and my friend behind the camera whom you cannotsee, and who wished to remain anonymous. you may recognize me from my movie career whichconsists of several sex tapes and an unfinished documentary of my band the hot as shits becauseduh, but we still play, so come check it out sometimes, it's pretty rockin'. after thehollywood thing, i decided to return to my

essential tools for home woodworking, texas roots, t-state, atx, and start thiscooking show because i am a really good cook my friends tell me. i am not a chef by anymeans, so i don't want a bunch of lip if i give you some misinformation. you don't needto be writing nasty comments, correcting me about how the internal temperature of poultryis not in fact 98.6 degrees fahrenheit because

duh, i already found that out after i gotfood poisoning. for this first episode, i am going to go overjust a few super-basic kitchen accoutrements that everybody should have so that they cancook for themselves like a grownup and not like a dildo in front of their new boyfriendor girlfriend. all right, number one, get a big knife, go ahead and get an eight-inchknife, and that will help you. i mean you can pretty much cut anything with this, andyou could even use it like a paring knife if you're super-duper careful. one very importantthing to look for when you're buying a knife is that the tang, that's right i said tang.this is the tang. this is the part of the blade that goes into the handle. you got tomake sure that that actually extends the length

of the handle, and that's going to make surethat your handle is not going to fly off of the knife blade at a very inopportune moment, bad cooking technique. all right, next is s cutting board. this isa minimum size. i don't know what the hell this size is, 8 x 10. i have no idea. anyway, this is bamboo. you can get plastic or wood. i don't care, just wash it with hot waterafter you've cut anything raw or dead on it. cast iron skillet is probably the thing iuse the most. this is an eight-inch skillet i think. this is pretty much good for anything.get one and season it really well. that's probably going to be another episode, butonce you get it seasoned when you wash it, don't use soap, just scrub it out with a plasticscrubby dealy, and then put a couple of drops

of oil in it and spread it around and thenheat it up again, and then wipe out any excess oil and that will keep it, it's pretty muchnonstick once you have it really seasoned really well, it's awesome. a giant pot, thething about a giant pot is you can make pasta for your girlfriend sometimes, so you shoulddo that. also, if you don't have a giant mixing bowl, you can use your big pot. also, if youever need to like dye some clothes, you can use your big pot. big pots are awesome! then a spatula, get a metal one since we'renot going to be messing around with teflon pans and stuff. i would say like a giant spoontoo may be helpful, but you could just use like a spoon out of your utensils drawer thatyour grandma gave you. so that's basic stuff

that you need. you don't have to spend a lotof money on it. you can get it anywhere. you could get it online at amazon. you could goto target. you could go to ikea. i don't care. just get it, and then you'll have the stuffthat you need so that you can cook like an evolved human being. c'mon people. all right,we'll be having another episode every week, so check it out at hilahcooking.com, or bemy fan on facebook! at facebook.com/hilahcooking, and i only have 200 friends, but i need alots more than that if i am going to get famous, so hook me up! next week, fish tacos. it'snot what you think, actually it is. it's just fish tacos.
